What are Milia?
Milia are tiny hard keritinised ‘pearls’ that sit just under the surface of the skin. They vary in size from a tiny grain of sand to garden pea and are often associated with dry, dehydrated skin.
Cause
They occur when the skin can’t remove dead skin cells and waste products. That means, instead of being sloughed off during normal exfoliation of the skin, the cells and waste products get trapped and clog oil-producing pores.
Results from ACP
Most milia will dry & disappear within a few days post treatment. However, if they are large then you may need a second treatment.
